Diane Roznowski New Chairperson For Milwaukee diakonia Program
Diane Roznowski has taken on the chairperson role for the Milwaukee Synod diakonia program. Diane is a
graduate of the inaugural diakonia class in the Milwaukee Synod.
NJSynod Adds New diakonia SIte
September 13, 2011, Vineland, NJ - Redeemer Lutheran in Vineland will begin
hosting a diakonia program. Previously held in Aberdeen, Beachwood, and
Somerset, the two year program has never been offered this far South and
seeks to engage interested students from the Southern part of the State. For

Diakonia Graduate Ranks Top 1,400 Plus
The diakonia Program continues to impact the lives of new graduates, their congregations and surrounding
communities. With 2011’s combined graduation classes, the ranks of diakonia graduates has grown to over
1,400 plus strong. Equipped and eager to serve, these new graduates join their fellow graduates dedicated
to spreading the Gospel and making a difference in the lives of those they touch.
St. John Lutheran Church, Joliet Illinois Becomes Newest NISynod diakonia Site
September 6, 2011, Joliet Il - The first diakonia class was held at St. John Lutheran
Church with 12 students registered at this new site. It's been such a joy to see this take
shape under Site Manager, Trenton Ferro 's leadership and the work of the Holy Spirit.
There is also a good chance that a new site will launch this fall (albeit with a late start) in
the DeKalb/Sycamore area. About eight people showed up at an information session
earlier this month, and if all goes well, we will have our first Monday evening classes
there in late September-early October. Please pray that new students and teaching
pastors in these areas will be blessed in their diakonia journey. For more information
